THE SYSTEMIC CRYOTHERAPY AND SPORT

CRYOTHERAPTY is one of the most efficient forms of the biological regeneration, outstripping the effects of the Finnish sauna. The cryostimulation effects, among the others, cause the growth of testosterone at men which makes that the physical effort and regeneration of the organism become more effective.

To prove the efficiency in sport, let us take some examples.

- Dariusz "Tiger" Michalczewski always, before his boxing fights, subjects himself to the cryotherapeutic sessions and due to them he managed to defense his title of the world champion many times.

- The footballers of the Cracow "Vistula" , often before their matches, take a bath in the Cryotherapy Chamber, which let them win twice the title of the Polish championship in football recently.

- A great many Olympic and world champions to improve their conditions and strengthen their power and endurance have often applied the cryotherapy.

-It is known that many Russian (formerly Soviet) sportsmen, especially those who go in for the weight lifting, come from Siberia, where the temperature of - 50°C is not a rare phenomenon. The permanent influence of the low temperature of those regions develops in the human organism the resistance to infectious diseases, strengthen its power and physical efficiency.

The cryotherapy can deliver sportsmen some advantages which manifest in:

  • a better blood supply of tissues - and in consequence - a faster post-effort regeneration,

  • an increase of the endogenic production of testosterone and keeping it on a high level after the therapy results in a better synthesis of proteins and causes a faster regeneration of the organism.

  • a positive influence on the nervous system - regeneration of the nervous system, improvement of the quality of sleep and mood, general relaxation and even a kind of euphoria.

  • acceleration of regeneration after traumas of muscles, tendons and joints - it enables to come back to full efficiency after a contusion,

  • treatment of micro-injuries and exclusion of new contusions, particularly those of the overloading nature,

  • decreasing of susceptibility to infections and larger inurement of the organism.

To feel the cryotherapy effects clearly, it is necessary to experience 7 to 8 (optimally 10 to 15) sessions. The effects remain for 2 - 3 months, so it is worth to undergo such a session at least once a year.

RECOMMENDATIONS OF APPLICATION OF THE SYSTEMIC CRYOTHERAPY

 IN THE PROFESSIONAL SPORT

  • For muscles: the traction injuries ( stretching, braking of the muscle fibres, painful muscle tones and contractions)

  • For fasciae: the syndrome of fascial compartment

  • For tendons: rotations, extensions, tenodeses, tendinopathies, aseptic inflammation of tendons and attachments ( of popliteal muscle, Achilles tendon, of a tennis player's elbow, of a golfer's elbow, the syndrome of a painful shoulder).

  • For joints: injury of a joint capsule, injury of articular cartilage.

  • For overloading: the syndrome of the knee-cap and thigh ( a runner's knee), the syndrome of the back group thigh muscles, the syndrome of psoas muscles ( a weight-lifter's back/dorsum), the inflammation of the plantar aponeurosis.

  • For chronic sports injuries: for example: the inflammation of the calcanean spur, metatarsalgia, fatigue-breaking of the metatarsal bones.

  • For the succour in biological regeneration (stimulating actions)

  • For the succour in endurement and weight training

  • For acceleration of post-weight training regeneration ( regulation of oxidizing stress)

  • For prevention of overloading

The cryotherapy has also an additional influence on the organism, which conducts to increasing its efficiency, and in consequence, to achieve the anabolic effect which is similar to such as it is evoked by using of steroids.
